Description
Looking for some fun, quick writing activities for your students? This activity book offers more than 30 exciting language arts activities that can be completed in approximately 15 minutes during class or at home. This activity book is an impetus for high-ability student learning, specifically in the area of writing; this is enrichment that any student, at any level, can do at any time. Standards-based activities teach creative thinking and address the areas of reading, writing, vocabulary, content literacy, creativity, and thinking skills, giving students a chance to enrich their writing skills. In a general education classroom, as well as in a classroom with high-ability students, there is great diversity in the abilities, interests, learning styles, and background of the students. Keeping standards high for all students is a daunting task, but this activity book is one way to scaffold instruction for students to reach the standards set in a high-stakes testing culture, and to go beyond those standards.
