Description
Twelve year-old farm boy, Billy Braddock, is an old-fashioned, hard-nosed baseball player, a power hitting outfielder and a rec league all-star. But is he good enough to make an elite travel team composed of the very best talent in town? Billy, and his best friend, Toby Ryan, resolve to find out. They put in long hours of practice and compete hard to secure roster spots on the Fairfield Yankees, one of the premier teams in the Capital City Suburban League. Catch all the exciting action as the season unfolds and Billy begins to learn about God's plan for his young life, the awesome power of forgiveness, the dangers of "following the crowd," and, finally, how he measures up against the nastiest pitcher anyone has ever seen.
