About the Author
Mary Furlong, an elementary school music teacher, has performed as a singer and instrumentalist throughout the United States and Europe, covering just about every kind of music - from Standards & Pop to Country & Western and Bluegrass. Mary created "An American Sampler," an educational assembly for schools and libraries that chronicles the history of American music, to teach children that Rock incorporates many types of musical influences. "Little Fido" is Mary's third children's book. Her first book, a jazzy story of a mischievous croc called, "Nile, Nile, Crocodile" was published in 2008. Two years later came "5 Monkeys & Little Crocodile"--- a musical story with an anti-bullying theme. Mary lives in the Chicago area with her husband, T.C. They have two sons and two dogs, none of which are named "Fido"!
