About the Author
MATT BASILE is the creator of the Toronto-based Fidel Gastro’s street food company. Together, he and his partner, Kyla Zanaradi, operate the award-winning Fidel Gastro food truck and run their flagship restaurant, Lisa Marie, which has been voted a Top 10 Brunch Spot in Canada by OpenTable. Matt was the host of the reality TV show Rebel Without a Kitchen, which now airs on Netflix across North America. He is also the author of Street Food Diaries, which was published in 2014.
KYLA ZANARDI was an associate producer on Rebel Without a Kitchen and has launched her own digital branded content agency, Benson + Oak. Kyla is a sought-after food photographer, with a number of cookbooks under her belt, including her and Matt’s first cookbook, Street Food Diaries, and most recently Brunch Life.
