This bone chilling illustrated novel tells of a lonely orphan who faces her biggest monster while incorprating the story of a girl in the future who is slowly uncovering the mysteries that this orphanage has to hold. This story's writing style is similar to Brian Selznick's "The Invention of Hugo Cabret" while putting in its own haunting twist. This book is such a page-turner and quite the read.
"No one's destiny is to be alone", Hale explains in this heart-warming story of the sturggles of making friends. "Real Friends" is a book any shy kid who just wants to fit in can relate to. I absolutely adore this book!

"Eleanor & Park reminded me not just what it's like to be young and in love with a girl, but also what it's like to be young and in love with a book."-John Green, The New York Times Book Review
