On Wednesday, August 29th at 7 PM, Carmichael's is happy to host former Courier-Journal reporter Katya Cengel for a signing of her new book Bluegrass Baseball : A Year in the Minor League Life. Cengel takes you
behind the scenes of minor league baseball by following four Kentucky
teams for a season. From the families who welcome players into
their homes for the season in Florence to the athletes who have chased a
dream all the way down to independent baseball, Bluegrass Baseball
highlights what goes into making a great game and the hope and heartache
that keeps them coming back to the ballpark night after night. Please
