On Thursday, May 31st at 7 PM, Carmichael's will host a very special event with Sister Monica Weis for a book signing and discussion of her ner book The Environmental Vision of Thomas Merton.  Weis suggests that Merton's interest in nature, which developed significantly during his years at the Abbey of Gethsemani, laid the foundation for his growing environmental consciousness.
